In 1995, aware of its commitment with the quality and environment protection, GIMSA® takes a step forward in the food industry by becoming the first company in Latin America to subscribe its processes under the ISO 9002 International Standards, issued by the SGS Certification Services. The American Institute of Baking (AIB) also audits GIMSA®'s plants.

Harinera de Yucatán, S.A. de C.V. became a pioneer in 1998 by obtaining the ISO 14001 certification, which preserves the ecology by regulating environment management systems. During the first semester of 1999, Molinos Azteca de Chalco, S.A. de C.V., the Chalco and Teotihuacán plants, and Molinos Azteca de Veracruz, S.A. de C.V. also obtained this certification.
